A former active Marine and felony prosecutor, Ian Taylor’s practice is devoted to serving public and private real estate clients in acquisitions, development, land use, regulatory, leasing, and dispute resolution.
Ian Taylor counsels public and private clients in all aspects of real estate leasing (landlord and tenant). He has extensive experience negotiating and drafting lease agreements for office, retail, large distribution facilities and airport facility and hangar leases in Washington State. His practice also includes drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements, easements and cell tower agreements, as well as monitoring and managing property leases, providing advice and drafting documents related to land development, overseeing environmental contamination cleanup and remediation projects, litigating eminent domain cases, condominium conversions and providing advice on legislative and regulatory issues.
Before joining Pacifica, Ian was a Senior Deputy Prosecuting Attorney in the Civil Division of the King County Prosecutor’s Office where, for 16 years, he represented numerous King County executive-level agencies, including the office of the King County Executive, Department of Transportation, Metro Transit, Facilities Management, and the King County International Airport. Prior to that, Ian was a criminal prosecutor with the King County Prosecutor’s Office, where he tried approximately 40 felony jury trials.
Ian also served in the United States Marine Corps, receiving numerous merit-based awards and commendations.
