Get to Know Pacifica – Tim Reynolds

Pacifica Attorney Tim ReynoldsThis week in Pacifica’s “Get to Know” series, we are highlighting Tim Reynolds. Tim’s practice focuses on representing public school districts. He assists clients in a variety of areas including labor and employment, employee investigations and discipline, collective bargaining, grievances and arbitration, special education, real estate transactions, school board policies and procedures, public records and open public meetings, constitutional issues, and student discipline.

Why did you choose your area of practice and what do you like most about it?

As a former high school biology teacher, it was a natural choice to focus on representing public school districts. What I like most about my practice is being able to help clients work through difficult issues so they can focus on what is most important: educating our youth.

Why did you choose to practice law at Pacifica Law Group?

The people who work at Pacifica are what drew me here. Everyone here practices at the highest level while also being dedicated to public service. Perhaps even more important, everyone who works here is a genuinely kind person. I had admired the work of the School Practice Group when I was a client while working as an administrator at Kent School District and was extremely excited to join Pacifica when the opportunity presented itself.

What hobbies and activities do you participate in outside of work?

I love taking photographs and have recently gotten back into shooting on 35 mm film. The process of exposing and developing negatives has a magical feeling that digital photography can’t replicate for me.

What is something others might find surprising about you?

The summer after undergrad I spent five months living in a tent while conducting research for the Forest Service in the Sierra Nevada mountains.
