Pacifica Law Group Promotes Taki Flevaris and Jon Jurich to Partnership
Pacifica Law Group is very pleased to announce that lawyers Taki Flevaris and Jon Jurich have been elected to the partnership, effective January 1, 2018.
Taki Flevaris focuses his practice on appellate, constitutional, and governmental litigation. In addition to working on cases directly involving federal, state, and local governments, Taki has litigated in areas including antitrust, bankruptcy, campaign finance, class actions, contracts, copyright, defamation, election law, eminent domain, environmental law, free speech, housing, insurance coverage, public records, real estate, securities fraud, and taxation—often with a constitutional or political dimension. Taki regularly works on state and local initiatives, including drafting, constitutional analysis, and legal challenges. He also advises clients on constitutional, statutory, and regulatory compliance issues, the scope of governmental authority, and internal policy formulation and implementation. Taki has extensive experience with various complex legal frameworks, such as campaign finance law, federal housing programs, Washington’s Public Records Act, and issues of race, speech, and religion in government.
Jon Jurich concentrates his practice in municipal finance and general municipal law. He has worked on conduit issues for housing, higher education and nonprofit facilities, as well as bond issues for school districts, cities, counties and other governmental entities, as bond, disclosure, issuer, and underwriter’s counsel. Jon’s experience includes Washington Administrative Code rule-making and state legislation, federal and state blue sky securities law, public records disclosure, and advising public entities. Jon also has experience in matters relating to commercial real estate transactions and public-private partnerships, and has advised nonprofit organizations on a variety of matters.
