Denise Stiffarm Recognized by Chief Seattle Club

Denise Stiffarm

The Chief Seattle Club honors firm partner Denise Stiffarm for her extraordinary record of public service.

Pacifica Law Group is proud to announce that the Chief Seattle Club, a highly respected Native-led human services nonprofit that has worked with the local urban Native community for decades, is honoring one of the firm’s partners, Denise Stiffarm, at a ceremony later this month.

The event, scheduled to take place virtually on Friday, October 23rd, will mark the 50th Anniversary of the Chief Seattle Club and will also be the inauguration of the Stiffarm Visionary Leadership award, which the organization will give to community leaders annually. Denise will be the first to receive the Stiffarm Visionary Leadership award, an acknowledgement of the extraordinary record of public service that extends way beyond her estimable commitment to the Chief Seattle Club.

Denise Stiffarm (Aaniiih Nation – Gros Ventre) served as a Chief Seattle Club board member from 2002 to 2019, including serving as the board chair from 2008 to 2017.  Her uncle, the late Ben Stiffarm Sr., was one of the organization’s founders in 1970 and will also be honored at the celebration on October 23rd and in the naming of the award.

“Denise distinguishes our firm literally every day in many ways and knowing of her dedication to the important work of the Chief Seattle Club, I imagine this recognition is particularly gratifying for her. We are very proud of the work that Denise does on behalf of our clients and in the community more broadly,” said Gerry Johnson, managing partner.
