Pacifica Gives Back – Painting Tiny House Village

Last summer, Pacifica Law Group employees had the opportunity to work with The Low Income Housing Institute (LIHI) at a volunteer event in Seattle. LIHI is a local nonprofit organization that develops, owns, and operates housing for people who are low-income or experiencing homelessness in Washington. LIHI builds Tiny House Villages as a response to the homelessness crisis and as a replacement for tents.

Tiny houses are safe, weatherproof, and help connect residents with supportive services and facilitate a path to permanent housing and employment. LIHI partners with residents in co-operative, democratic management of the communities. To date, LIHI has 10 Tiny House Villages supporting over 1,000 residents annually.

Pacifica Law Group volunteers and their family members helped LIHI spruce up the exterior paint on its tiny houses, getting them ready for new residents. For more information on the Low Income Housing Institute and the Tiny House Villages please visit https://lihi.org/tiny-houses/ or contact tinyhouses@lihi.org.
