Pacifica’s Deanna Gregory and Matt Segal to Speak at WPTA Conference

Pacifica partners Deanna Gregory and Matt Segal are speaking this week at the Washington Public Treasurers Association Conference in Chelan, WA.

Deanna is leading a session about levy and bond campaigns. The session, which also features Phil Stutzman of the Washington State Public Disclosure Commission, will cover ballot measures, election law, and Public Disclosure Commission Guidelines, and specifically the limitations on the use of public facilities to support or oppose an election campaign.

Matt will speak in a session concerning First Amendment audits. The session will cover the history of audits, current state of the law surrounding the public’s right to audit, and practical suggestions for how local governments may respond to audits.

Deanna’s session will take place on Thursday, April 11 at 12:30pm, and Matt will speak on Friday, April 12 at 9:45am.

Deanna and Matt are partners in Pacifica’s Public Law and Finance practice group. Deanna advises and represents public entities on finance, disclosure and general municipal matters, including elections, governance, open public meetings, and other public law issues.

Matt, a retired King County Superior Court judge, advises and represents public clients with an emphasis on public law advice and disputes, appeals, ethics and investigations, and alternative dispute resolution.
