Shweta Jayawardhan Joins Pacifica Law Group’s Litigation Practice
We are pleased to announce that Shweta Jayawardhan has joined our Litigation practice group.
Seattle—Pacifica Law Group is pleased to announce that Shweta Jayawardhan has joined the firm as an associate in its litigation group.
Shweta’s practice will focus on municipal, real estate, land use and commercial litigation. She has experience with arguing motions, negotiating settlements and drafting pleadings.
In addition to working as a summer associate at Pacifica in 2019, Shweta previously worked as an associate at a Seattle area firm practicing municipal law and real estate litigation. Prior to law school she worked in local government at the King County Council, and during law school she externed with the Seattle City Attorney in the Land Use Division, and served as a judicial extern for Justice Mary Yu of the Washington state Supreme Court.
“Shweta was an outstanding summer associate in 2019 and we’re delighted to welcome her back and to be adding an experienced associate to our litigation team,” said Paul Lawrence, the Litigation practice group leader. “Shweta not only has experience in private practice, but also in working with governmental entities which brings a unique and valuable perspective to the issues our clients are often facing.”
Shweta earned her B.A., with honors, at the University of Washington, and her J.D. at the University of Washington School of Law.
