Rachel Simon Joins Pacifica Law Group’s School Districts Practice
A former teacher and civil litigator, Rachel will focus her practice on special education and general counsel matters for school districts.
Pacifica Law Group is pleased to announce that Rachel Simon has joined the firm as an associate in our School Districts practice group. A former teacher and civil litigator, Rachel will focus her practice on special education and general counsel matters for school districts.
“We are excited to welcome Rachel to Pacifica and the School Districts team,” said Pacifica School Districts Practice Group Leader Sarah Johnson. “Rachel understands the school environment and shares Pacifica’s respect for educators and the public education system. She has a solid foundation of legal experience and we look forward to working with her as she continues to build her career.”
Prior to joining Pacifica, Rachel worked as an associate at another Seattle-area law firm in its litigation practice. There, she gained experience defending clients in state and federal courts against legal malpractice claims involving a range of underlying subjects including contract disputes, estate matters, bankruptcy cases, and consumer protection actions. Rachel also has experience advising clients regarding adherence to employment agreements.
Rachel earned her J.D. from Seattle University School of Law, where she also served as editor-in-chief of the Seattle Journal for Social Justice. During law school, Rachel interned in the Domestic Violence Unit of the Seattle City Attorney’s Office, and for the nonprofit Washington Civil & Disability Advocate. She earned her B.A. in politics from Oberlin College.
Rachel started at Pacifica on September 11, 2023.
