A former appellate attorney at the U.S. Department of Justice, Kevin Kennedy brings an extensive background in advising and representing government clients to his practice.
Kevin Kennedy’s practice focuses on helping public, private, and nonprofit clients find solutions to their most complicated legal problems, whether through litigation or counselling and support.
Kevin has an extensive background in advising and representing government clients—particularly at the appellate level. Before joining Pacifica, Kevin was an appellate attorney at the U.S. Department of Justice. There, he counseled numerous federal agencies on the legality of their actions and represented the United States in the federal courts of appeals, personally arguing seven cases.
Previously, Kevin worked at a major international law firm representing clients in high-stakes matters before administrative agencies and at every level of the federal judiciary. After law school, Kevin clerked for the Honorable John Jay Tharp, Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and the Honorable Sri Srinivasan of the Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia.
In his free time, Kevin enjoys playing and watching basketball, spending time with his two young kids, and reading political theory.
