An experienced civil litigator and former federal judicial law clerk, Ruby Nagamine represents public, private, and nonprofit clients at all stages of litigation in state and federal courts.
Before joining Pacifica, Ruby served as a law clerk to the Honorable Richard A. Jones of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington. Prior to her clerkship, Ruby was a litigation associate at the Seattle office of an international law firm. In that role, she represented clients in a broad range of litigation matters, including breach of contract, post-employment restrictive covenants, false advertising, copyright infringement, trade secret misappropriation, and fraudulent transfers. She is experienced in all stages of litigation, from strategic pre-litigation advice through trials and appeals. Her pro bono service includes representing asylum seekers in immigration proceedings.
During law school, Ruby served as senior editor of the University of Pennsylvania Law Review. She also currently serves as co-chair of the Asian Bar Association of Washington’s mentorship committee.
In her free time, Ruby enjoys playing tennis, trying new restaurants, and spending time with her husband and two dogs.
