We are proud to announce that Pacifica attorney Eugene Lee recently joined the board of the Seattle Chinatown International District Preservation and Development Authority (SCIDpda). SCIDpda was formed as a city-chartered community development agency in 1975 to ensure Seattle’s Chinatown International District thrives as a community and a unique, historically significant neighborhood.
SCIDpda realizes this mission through real estate development, the management of affordable housing and commercial property, and community economic development and engagement projects, which provide resources for local economic and revitalization projects.
A recent example of SCIDpda’s work is the acquisition earlier this year of the historic, family-owned Eclipse Hotel, which will be preserved and repurposed as affordable housing for seniors and will include ground-floor commercial spaces.
An attorney in Pacifica’s Litigation Practice Group, Eugene is serving a three-year term on the SCIDpda board. SCIDpda Board members meet monthly to discuss SCIDpda’s activities and community concerns.
