Jon Jurich Chairs National Association of Bond Lawyers Annual Workshop

The National Association of Bond Lawyers gathers this week in Chicago for the 50th anniversary of the organization’s annual Workshop, its most important educational and networking event of the year.

Pacifica’s Jon Jurich is serving as chair of this year’s event, which brings together leading public finance attorneys and professionals from across the country. As Workshop Chair, Jon led a group of volunteers in developing programming focused on advancing the practice of public finance law and helping bond lawyers strengthen relationships across the municipal finance industry.

A longtime NABL member, educator, and volunteer leader, Jon is also a several-time  Chicagoan, making his role at this year’s Workshop particularly appropriate.

Jon leads Pacifica’s Public Law and Finance Practice Group and concentrates his practice on public finance and general municipal law, with an emphasis on nonprofit and affordable housing issues. He represents state agencies, school districts, cities, counties and special purpose districts as bond, disclosure, issuer, and underwriter’s counsel. His experience also includes Washington Administrative Code rulemaking and state legislation; federal and state blue sky securities law; public records disclosure; and advising public entities.

Jon is part of a group of Pacifica bond lawyers who are current and past NABL leaders. Deanna Gregory will be named President of the Board of Directors at this year’s Workshop. Alison Benge serves as Chair of NABL’s Tax Law Committee, and Stacey Crawshaw-Lewis and Faith Pettis have previously served terms on the NABL Board of Directors.
