
Kevin Kennedy and Eugene Lee bring additional public service and appellate experience to the firm’s Litigation Practice Group.
Pacifica Law Group is pleased to announce that Kevin Kennedy and Eugene Lee have joined the firm as associates in the Litigation Practice Group.
Both bring additional public service and appellate experience to Pacifica. Kennedy previously served as an appellate attorney at the U.S. Department of Justice, and Lee and Kennedy each clerked for judges in federal appellate and district courts.
“This has been an exciting year of growth for our litigation team, and we are pleased to further strengthen the group with the additions of Eugene and Kevin,” said Litigation Practice Group Leader Jessica Skelton. “While they each bring different experiences to the firm, they share a common interest in making a positive impact through civic-minded work.”
Kennedy joins Pacifica from the appellate staff of the U.S. Department of Justice’s Civil Division, where he counselled federal agencies and represented the United States in federal courts of appeals. A graduate of Dartmouth College and University of Chicago Law School, Kennedy clerked for the Honorable John Jay Tharp, Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and the Honorable Sri Srinivasan of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.
Lee comes to the firm following a clerkship with the Honorable Ronald M. Gould of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He also previously clerked for the Honorable John H. Chun of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington. Lee earned his undergraduate degree from Amherst College, and his J.D. from University of Michigan Law School.
Kennedy is one of five attorneys who have recently joined Pacifica following federal government service. Sarah Du previously worked as a trial attorney in at the U.S. Department of Justice, Galen Knowles worked as an attorney for the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Kyra Perrigo worked in the Office of General Counsel at the Department of Housing and Urban Development, and Craig Peters worked as a neutral staff attorney with the U.S. Department of Education, Office for Civil Rights.
